Brief description: Dr. Kit Carlson earned her PhD in Plant Microbiology and Pathology at the University of Missouri, and conducted her post-doctoral research at Virginia Tech, focused on molecular diagnostics of plant disease. Kit has been a botany professor for nearly two decades. During her tenure she has served thousands of students and developed and instructed more than fifteen different plant science courses.
