Michael is active in the American Bar Association (ABA) and the Florida Bar. The American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE) selected Michael as one of its members on the Engineers Joint Contract Documents Committee (EJCDC). Michael is an editor of the Journal of Legal Affairs and Dispute Resolution in Engineering and Construction. He is a Leadership Florida alumnus.
