Brief description: Claudia Nice is a native of the Pacific Northwest and a self-taught artist, developing her realistic art style by sketching from nature. She is a multi-media artist, but prefers pen, ink and watercolor when working in the field. Claudia has been an art consultant and instructor for Koh-I-Noor Rapidograph, Grumbacher, and M. Graham paints. She has traveled across North America and internationally conducting workshops, seminars, and demonstrations at schools, clubs, shops, and trade shows. Her acrylics, watercolor, and ink drawings have won numerous awards and can be found in private collections across the continent. Claudia has authored 25 successful art instruction books and contributed to many other art books and magazines. She conducts workshop and retreats at her studio on Mt Hood, Oregon, at Brightwood Studio (www.brightwoodstudio.com). When not involved in her art career, Claudia enjoys gardening, hiking and discovering the wonders of nature in the Mt. Hood National Forest behind her home. Her favorite quote is "If you can learn to see it with an artist eye, you can draw it".
