Brief description: Robert A. McCormick is an acclaimed regional photographer and author whose specialty is documenting abandoned historical structures in the Ozark Mountain region of Missouri and Arkansas. His first book, Abandoned Ozarks: Southwest Missouri, showcased haunting photos of dilapidated rural structures of many types. His work first rose to prominence with an exclusive issue of Ozarks Watch Magazine (Missouri State University) that focused on abandoned schoolhouses. He has since been a presenter at many regional libraries and museums and as a speaker at the Ozarks Studies Symposium at MSU-West Plains.
