Description: A sinister Episcopal Bishop comes to confirm Lottie and Josie Albright's niece in a newly built church in Western Kansas. Suddenly, the Reverend Mary Farnsworth drops the chalice and flees to the anteroom. Psychologist Josie lingers after the service to comfort her, but when Lottie discovers Reverend Mary's body, she orders her sister to leave. As Deputy Sheriff, Lottie must attend to the death. Lottie learns that the beloved Reverend Mary was a woman without a past, and that the rogue Bishop has unexpected ties to the area. A sheriff from an adjacent county, unaware that Josie is an FBI consultant, assumes that seizing control of the investigation will be easy but instead arouses the twins' wrath. Soon Lottie's investigation into old documents riles up murderous century-old rivalries.... Charlotte Hinger is an award-winning novelist and Western Kansas historian.
