Brief description: William B. Stevenson (1869-1954) was Professor at Glasgow University, Scotland. In 1943 he gave the prestigious Schweich Lectures at the British Academy, which were published as 'The Poem of Job: A Literary Study with a New Translation' (1947). He also revised Young's 'Analytical Concordance to the Bible' and translated August Dillmann's commentary on Genesis.
