Description: "Spells for All Seasons and All Reasons. Explore the seasons of the witch by way of magickal spells and practices for each turn of the Wheel of the Year. Offering a fresh approach to a lifestyle that focuses on mind, body, and spirit in the nature-based way that our ancestors practiced throughout the ages, Magick for All Seasons features over one hundred magic spells and incantations. Brooks has divided this book into two parts. The first being the seasons, exploring the eight Wiccan and Pagan sabbats that comprise the traditional Wheel of the Year, beginning with Samhain. Each sabbat is detailed with information on the symbolism, activities, tools, incense, and gemstones used, along with specific workings. The second part comprises a grimoire of spells for daily use. Included are exercises, crafts, and recipes to incorporate magic into daily life. Examples include: Creating a Personal Pentagram of Intent Working with a Manifestation Box Spell: Ring the Ancestral Bell Creating an Energy Ball Spell: Unclutter the Mind "--

Brief description: Marla Brooks is the creator of The Witch's Oracle deck and has been the host of Stirring the Cauldron on the Para X Radio Network for the past fourteen years. She grew up knowing that there was more to this world than the naked eye could see and found the notion of ghosts and other things that go bump in the night rather fascinating. Of course, you might expect that from a witch. Marla didn't just decide one day that she wanted to be a witch. It's just part of who she is. Her great-grandmother Sophie was a witch, and these things often get passed down in the bloodline from generation to generation.

Before publicly coming out of the "broom closet," she worked as a freelance entertainment writer for various national publications, mainly doing celebrity interviews, and is the author of several books in both the metaphysical and mainstream genres, including the Ghosts of Hollywood series, Workplace Spells, and Animal Spells and Magick; two fiction books, A Bad Case of the Collywobbles and Soul Connection: A Deadly Obsession; as well as two cookbooks. She lives in Southern California.

Review Quotes: "Magick for All Seasons is a personal, pragmatic guide to filling your year with magic. From seasonal lore to magical correspondences, each chapter introduces the themes and symbols of the Wheel of the Year. This book is packed with hands-on activities; you'll find spells, rituals, divination, recipes, and so much more. I look forward to returning to this book again and again for inspiration in my own seasonal magick."
--Nicholas Pearson, author of The Witching Stones

"A sweet ode to the author's great grandmother, Magick for All Seasons offers a trove of spells and recipes for those who are curious about celebrating Pagan seasonal holidays. Marla Brooks has created a delightfully homey grimoire filled to the brim with a readymade collection of ideas to make each season a little more magical."
--Christine Grace, author of The Witch at the Forest's Edge
