Endlessly fascinated by the study of human behavior and the complexities of human nature, she incorporates elements of LGBTQ+ struggles with isolation and identity into her work - often informed by her experiences spending formative years split between America and Israel. After earning a degree in Television from Emerson College, Maytal honed her craft by working in as many areas of the television and film industry as possible. As a fresh voice in comics, Maytal is channeling her screenwriting knowledge and personal experiences to tell stories from her unique perspective. It Happened on Hyde Street: Devour marks Maytal's gripping comic book writing debut.
