Description: The first work of poetry by Edward Gurka is a small collection of poems aptly entitled Portraits reflecting his passion for observing people and their behaviours. He approaches each poem from his experience of an event much like he does with his other passion, photography. In his photography Ed awaits for the moment of stillness to centre him. These poetic works are created when sound and silence are held together like hands praying.
