A revised edition entitled Patterns in History: A Christian Perspective on Historical Thought, with new preface and afterword, was first published in 1990 by Baker Book House (Grand Rapids, Michigan) and was reissued in 2000 by Regent College Publishing (Vancouver, Canada), an imprint of the Regent College Bookstore. This fourth edition was first published by Baylor University Press (Waco, Texas) in 2018 and includes a new preface and chapter.
