Brief description:
Kat Choppy was born and raised in Eugene, Oregon, where she spent her childhood taking things apart and putting them back together, writing songs and running around in the woods. She received her BA from New York University before pursuing a career in children's literature. In her 15 years at Penguin Random House, she's shepherded dozens of books to publication--award-winners, bestsellers, and under-the-radar gems alike. After many years in New York City, she recently moved back to Oregon where her tools are always in high-demand to ease the aches and pains of the hundred year old house she shares with her family.
