Brief description: Author and illustrator Leslie Hebert Helakoski is known for humor and wordplay in her picture books. Her children's books have won state book awards and starred reviews and been featured on Here Wee Read's Ultimate List of Diverse Children's Books. A native of South Louisiana, Leslie has worked as a graphic designer and writer and currently teaches picture-book workshops throughout the country.
