Brief description: Jose Luis Martinez-Duenas Espejo is Professor of English Language at the University of Granada. He has authored the books Estilistica del discurso narrativo (1992), La metafora (1993) Retorica de la lengua inglesa (2002), El verbo con sentido. Dialogo sobre la retorica y su actualidad (2003), and Las fronteras de los ingleses (2008). He has translated into Spanish John Dryden's Almanzor and Almahide or the Conquest of Granada by the Spaniards - La conquista de Granada por los espanoles (2010) - and has co-edited Approaches to the Poetics of Derek Walcott (2001). Rocio G. Sumillera is a Lecturer in the English and German Department of the University of Valencia. She has written articles and chapters on translation, rhetoric and poetics in the early modern period, and on ideas on poetic invention and imagination in early modernity. She is currently preparing a modern critical edition for the MHRA Tudor and Stuart Translations Series of Richard Carew's The Examination of Men's Wits (1594), the first translation into English of Juan Huarte de San Juan's Examen de ingenios para las ciencias (1575).
