Her work concentrates on the transformation of the political order in Yucatan/Mexico during the Age of Revolution. Katrin Dircksen is a Research Assistant at the Westfalische Wilhelms-Universitat Munster, Germany. Her dissertation focuses on political festivities in Mexico City during the era of independence. Hans-Ulrich Thamer is Professor Emeritus of Modern and Contemporary History at the Westfalische Wilhelms-Universitat Munster, Germany.
