Description: "...I am an atheist and I consider religions to be a form of collective neurosis," Diego Rivera emphatically stated after he was forced to remove an inscription about God so that one of his murals could finally be displayed. Another highly-controversial figure in global history, Rivera's murals carried with them messages of social change, conflict, failures, struggles, and triumphs. This biography peels back the very complicated layers of Rivera's life story.
