Brief description: Bibi Bakare-Yusuf is co-founder and publishing director of Cassava Republic Press. She has worked as a research and gender consultant as well as in academia and has a Ph.D in Women and Gender Studies from the University of Warwick. Her area of research interests are diasporicity and embodiment, memory and sexuality, and phenomenology of Black feminist existence. As well as being widely published, Bibi is also a Yale World Fellow, a Desmond Tutu Fellow and a Frankfurt Book Fair Fellow.
