"As a top sideline reporter for CBS Sports, I got to know Tom Brady during the first half of the Patriots' record six Super Bowl wins, but never this Brady as painted in a masterwork of page-turning literary art. Meticulously reported and packed with cinematic scenes . . . Lars not only brings an obsessive pursuit of perfection to life but, in the most humane of ways, the personal cost of that journey. Page after page you are with Tom . . . walking in the West Village to a blind date with his future wife in an astonishing opening chapter . . . choosing football over family down in Tampa. Like the QB himself, Brady is destined to join the ranks of the all-time greats."
--Armen Keteyian, eleven-time Emmy Award winner and six-time New York Times bestselling author, including #1 bestseller Tiger Woods
--Ian O'Connor, New York Times bestselling author of Belichick "This book is what happens when one of the greatest sports writers of our time steps up to chronicle one of the icons in American sports. Lars Anderson could write about a pee-wee football game and make it a beautiful read; imagine what happens when he turns his talents to Tom Brady. To say this is a rich, compelling read doesn't do it justice. For those of us who have always wanted more of the story behind THE quarterback, this is it."
--Rick Bragg, Pulitzer Prize-winning journalist "Expect deservedly strong demand for this page-turner."
- Booklist, starred review "A captivating biography of former NFL quarterback Tom Brady, transforming one of sports' most familiar success stories into a study of ambition, sacrifice, and the difficulty of deciding how much achievement is enough [...] Anderson balances genuine admiration for Brady's accomplishments with an unsparing account of their cost. The result is a humanizing portrait of a champion who conquered nearly every opponent except his own appetite for victory."

"The author is a first-rate storyteller, and here he delivers something we don't get much of these days: fun [...] "Brady" gives the reader the best insight yet into the immense trade-offs its subject made to become the greatest of all time in a hypercompetitive profession. The Tom Brady story can serve as an inspirational example or a cautionary tale--and perhaps both."
