Brief description: Hussein Khambalia is a Surgical Registrar in the North West Deanery. He is a transplant trainee, specialising in kidney and pancreas transplantation, multi-organ retrieval and vascular access surgery. He has demonstrated anatomy at Guys Hospital, Kings College Hospital and St Thomas' Medical School and is currently also an Honorary Lecturer at the University of Manchester. Mr Khambalia's research interests include peri-operative optimisation and risk prediction in pancreas transplantation, pre-operative pancreas allograft assessment and DCD donor assessment.
