Vashti a obtenu son baccalauréat en arts de l'University of Virginia et sa maîtrise en cinéma et vidéo de CalArts. Elle est passionnée par la création d'histoires dans les films et les livres pour enfants. Vashti vit à Brooklyn, à New York. VASHTI HARRISON is the author-illustrator of the New York Times bestselling picture book Grande, for which she won the Caldecott Medal. She is also the illustrator of Sulwe, Bonjour, mon étoile, and Nos boucles au naturel. Vashti earned her BA from the University of Virginia and received her MFA in Film and Video from CalArts.
