Brief description: Dan Azoulay, PhD, taught social, cultural, and political history at several Canadian universities for over 30 years. He is the author of two other books on romance history: Hearts and Minds: Canadian Romance at the Dawn of the Modern Era, 1900-1930 (2011) and Only the Lonely: Finding Romance in the Pages of Canada's Western Home Monthly, 1905-1924 (2000). As well, he is the author of Keeping the Dream Alive: The Survival of the Ontario CCF/NDP, 1950-1963 (1997) and the editor of Canadian Political Parties: Historical Readings (1999). He is retired and lives in Newmarket, Ontario.
