Description: Masticans, an ancient bacterial intelligence, unaccountably seek to exterminate humankind. Persistently, for a billion years, Mastix has extinguished hordes of planetary systems where dwell bilateral lifeforms. But Mastix endures subtle opposition. The Enigmat dogs Mastican omnicides. A lone Mastican renegade stalls Earth's demolition, after it recognizes Enigmat affection for the Ravenhill clan. That Vancouver Island indigenous family worships Enigmat as Raven, their Great Spirit. Mastix blunders, suffering catastrophic self-injury. So, a door creaks open for survival. Will the Ravenhills embrace a radical defense to Mastican bilateral genocide? Will any humans survive Mastican malevolence? From within the warm co-mentation of RavenPod, the Ravenhills share the tale of their coastal people, their Trickster god, Daniel's happy bigamy and its end, and their turncoat alien friend, Odal.
