Description:

Many of the sites described in this volume spanned the whole period normally split between these two divisions, and thus make it clear that we are dealing with a continuum. It was not the brief of the Newcastle Conference to consider the burials, ritual and artefacts of the Third and Second Millennia, but at the same time the present state of the evidence demands that any attempt to provide a framework against which the domestic aspects can be considered must take these factors into account.
