Brief description: Richard English is a primary mathematics tutor in the Faculty of Education at the University of Hull. Previously, he taught mathematics in primary and secondary schools in Hull and also worked as a mathematics advisory teacher. In recent years he has worked on a consultancy basis for the National Strategies and was involved in the early development of the mathematics specialist training programme, following the publication of the Williams Review in 2008.
