Descriptions, Reviews, etc.

Description: The Election of 1800, in which Thomas Jefferson and John Adams ran against each other for president, was an important milestone for the United States government. It marked the first time power changed hands fairly, without a battle or trickery, and the end of the Alien and Sedition Acts, allowing the citizens to once again speak out against the government or the president. This fascinating book uses primary sources, sidebars, and boxed facts to take us back to this extraordinary election.
