Jadie in Five Dimensions

Description: Thirteen-year-old Jadie lives in 4-space and works as an Agent for the four-dimensional beings who adopted her after being abandoned as an infant, but when Jadie learns her origin story is a lie she works to uncover the truth.

Review Quotes: "Salerni threads a healthy dose of theoretical physics through the plot line, which should please young sci-fi fans. Well-earned reversals in the developing action will keep less mathematically minded readers engaged, while refreshingly un-clichéd characterization steers the narrative clear of tired tropes. While many middle-grade novels ask "What if...?" Jadie's adventures give the question real teeth."--The Horn Book

"Salerni offers a page-turning adventure tale and adeptly breaks down the math and science elements behind multidimensional theory for middle-grade readers. The book also has heart, touching on the emotional lives of two adopted 13-year-olds and the true meaning of family."--Booklist

"A thrilling ride through a multidimensional universe and high-stakes action"--Kirkus Reviews

"A complex, engaging sci-fi adventure that offers a different perspective on our world, literally from a dimension beyond."--School Library Journal

"Though mostly a fast-paced journey between worlds, it ultimately comes back to the themes of adoption, family, loyalty, trust, and love. Jadie and her family join together to come out on top and defeat the beings who are manipulating everything they do. Perfect for math and science fans who love adventure stories spanning across multidimensional world."--School Library Connection
