Description: Stegosaurs, or armored dinosaurs, are a genus of dinosaurs from the late Jurassic period known for their spiked tails and triangular plates on their backs. In this book, various species of stegosaurs are highlighted, including important fossil discoveries and how they have helped scientists learn more about how stegosaurs lived. The glossary helps young readers learn terms that paleontologists use to classify dinosaurs, while fact boxes, timelines, and dinosaur profiles provide additional context and engagement.
