Howard, MD completed his residency in Family Medicine at DeWitt Army Community Hospital and his sports fellowship at the Uniformed Services University of the Health Sciences in Bethesda, Maryland. After retiring from the Army in 2004, he assumed the position as the Program Director of the VCU-Fairfax Family Practice Sports Medicine Fellowship.
