He received his Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering from National Institute of technology. His research interest includes Additive Manufacturing (robocasting), Biomaterials, Finite Element Analysis, and optimisation. He has completed multiple national and international funded project and multiple constancy projects from various industries. He has six patents Granted and four design granted by Indian patent office. He has organised two international conference and has edited two books. He has also enthusiastic in organising outreach activities, such as giving public lectures and mentoring students. He also serves as BOS members for member for various autonomous colleges. He has also received multiple awards from participating in multiple national competitions. He was instrumental in establishing the "Design and Make Studio" in collaboration with Autodesk at Vellore Institute of Technology (VIT), Vellore.
