Emma and Anthony Smith are from Yorkshire, UK. Anthony grew up in a farming family and worked as a commercial diver all over the world. Emma was a response officer in the North Yorkshire police and previously a sister at Leeds Teaching Hospitals. In 2013, they moved to the Dryanovo region of Bulgaria, where they founded dog rescue charity Street Hearts BG.
